Almost done with school!!!!

I am soooo excited because I am almost done with middle school! I am so ready to be a highschooler and I really want to be done for this year. This year has been the worst year for me in school and I am hoping next year will be better! I can't wait til I am done with this year so I can do whatever I want over the summer! I have a lot of fun things planned and I can't wait til I get to accomplish those things! As of today, I only have eight and a half days of school left! I am counting down and I can't wait til there is a zero on that countdown!

Friday the 13th.....

     Today is Friday the 13th and it is the worst day EVER! It started off terrible because I woke up late... Because I woke up late, I had to run and take a shower and get ready as fast as I possibly could which put me in a bad mood. I ended up barely getting to school on time for the first bell... Then, I realized that I was having a test in every single class.. This fact did not help my mood at all... I luckily did pretty good on my math test but I am worried about what grade I got on the science test. I still have to go take the Social Studies test and I am just hoping that it is easy. I am not having a good day so far but I really hope that it gets better because I have softball practice tonight and I want that to go good. Well, I hope my weekend goes better then today, Friday the 13th... WORST DAY EVER!!!!

Books!

     I don't know why but lately I have been obsessed with reading. I think it is just because I have found some really good series and I haven't been able to put them down. I used to hate to read because I just found it boring. Now I realize that the reason I thought it was boring was because I wasn't reading the right books. Lately I found some really good series of books that I have been reading. I read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books which were pretty good books because they kept me on my toes the whole time I was reading. I also read the Twilight series. When people first told me about the Twilight series, I thought they were just going to be stupid books about vampires and werewolves, but they weren't. The series was really well written and it kept me wanting to read more! I also read the Hunger Games books which I have already blogged about! Those were really good books because there was a lot of action in them. It kept you reading because you wanted to know who was going to die and who wasn't. I have been crazy about reading ever since I read these series! I recommend these books to everyone who likes a good story! Well, I guess that is all I have to say! Bye!

Spring Break Was Amazing!

     My Spring Break was AMAZING!!!!!! I went to Chattanooga for a couple of days and that was a lot of fun! I went to the zoo which is kind of small but still pretty cool! Then I went to the aquarium which was really cool! I also slept a lot during Spring Break which was the best part because I really needed to catch up on my sleep! It was a really good week because I got to spend a lot of time with my best friend that I barely ever get to see because she is home schooled! I got to see her like everyday and that was awesome!!!!!! Well, that was pretty much my whole week! I'll blog again later! Bye!

Spring Break!

I am soooo excited because next week is Spring Break!!!! Yes, that's right I get a whole week off of school where I can do whatever I want! I can't wait! I am probably just going to sleep a lot during the week because during school the school week, I like never get any sleep... I am also going to Chattanooga this weekend for a competition and I am soo excited! We get to go to the zoo while we are there and I am very excited about that! I am also going to the aquarium in Chattanooga next week with a bunch of my friends and I am very excited about that! I am happy it is Spring Break time because I get to relax and NOT think anything about school! I get a week to just have fun and not worry about any homework due the next day or anything! I am excited next week is Spring Break because I get to just have fun! Well, that's all I can say! I will tell you all about my awesome week when I come back to school! Bye!

Hunger Games Was Amazing!!!

      Last night, I went to the midnight premier of the Hunger Games and it was amazing!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!! It was probably one of the best movies I have seen! It did a really good job at keeping the book correct and not just making stuff up! I loved it! It was such a good movie! I think the actors did a really good job with their characters! I hope they come out with movies for the other two books in the series and maybe I can go to the midnight premier for those too! I was soo excited because I got to see it! It was an awesome movie! Well, that is all I can think to say right now! Bye!

The Hunger Games- Movie Time!

       I absolutely LOVE the Hunger Games! It is an awesome book! I am d=so excited because the movie comes out tonight at midnight!!!! I am soooo excited because I get to go to the midnight showing!!!!! I have been waiting for this ever since I heard about the movie coming out!!!!!!! I got my tickets like two weeks ago and I have been waiting for tonight ever since then! I hope they do a good job with the movie and not make it too different from the book. I know they can't put all of the details in their but I hope they put enough to make it interesting. I can't wait until tonight! I will tell you more tomorrow!!!!! Bye!!!!!!

My Weekend!

     I had an amazing weekend! It all started Friday when we had a half day at school! I was so excited because we got to leave two hours before regular dismissal time! After school, I got to go to Chickfila and hang out with some of my friends! That night, I went to my best friend's birthday party at Chuck e Cheese! It was sooo much fun! I got over 800 tickets!! Then, on Saturday, I got to go to the mall and shop for awhile! It was a ton of fun! On Sunday I didn't really do anything fun, I just slept! But I love doing that too! Well, that was my weekend! The Hunger Games!

     Oh My Goodness! I can't wait until the movie The Hunger Games comes out! I am soooo excited!!!!! I am going to see it on the day it comes out..... March 23rd! I cant wait to go see it! I read the books and I love them! I can't wait to see how they relate and how they are different. I am pretty sure that the book is going to be better then the movie but I still want to see it! I am soo excited becaue I liked how the author wrote the book! I want to see it! I just cannot wait! Well, I don't know what else to say about that so... Bye!

High School

     I am so excited about going to high school next year! i am a little nervous too though. I am afraid that I might get lost. It is the time of year in eighth grade that I get to pick my classes for next year. As I pick them, I get more and more anxious about next year. I am excited because I am going to be in marching band and I have been wanting to be in that ever since I started playing the flute. I am also excited because I am going to play softball and be on a team with a bunch of my friends. I pick all of my classes today and I get to see what exactly I will be taking all four years! It is Finally Softball Season!!!!

     I am sooo excited because it is finally my favorite time of year: Softball Season!!!!! I love it! Every year around this time, everybody starts signing up and trying out! I can't wait until that first time I get to step on that field and play the game that I love! I am so excited about my first practice which is coming up pretty soon! i love to just get out on that field and not think about anything but playing my heart out! I am soo excited because I get to play the game I love with all of my closest friends this year!

The Holocaust

     In English, we have been doing a unit on the Holocaust. Before this unit, I only knew the basic aspects of the Holocaust. I really didn't know how bad the people were treated. Through this unit, I have learned that it wasn't just Jews that were put in the concentration camps. Homosexuals, Greeks, and Gypsies were sent there as well. Through this, I have just been dismayed at how someone could hate a group of people so much that they would want them all dead. I just don't understand how a human being could do something like that to that many people and nobody notice. I have been trying to figure out how nobody noticed. I wonder if people didn't notice or if people just turned their heads on that idea. I think that people weren't really looking for an answer as to why the Jews were being taken because it was supposed to be making their lives better. I have learned a lot through this unit in class but it also has made me think more about what the others who lived during this time were doing to help them if they were doing anything at all.

My Family

     I love my family to death. There are four people in my family: my mom, Pam, my dad, Larry, my sister, Kathryn, and me, Katelyn! I am younger then my sister by four years. Kathryn is a senior in high school this year. She is the caption of the cheerleading team as well as manager of the girl's wrestling team. I love my sister very much even though we can pretty much never get along. I am always telling her that i won't miss her when she goes to college but the truth is, I will miss her.... A LOT! Even though we don't get along very often, she is pretty cool. I love my parents very much. They mean the world to me! Well, that is all I can think of about my family! I will post again later! Bye!

What Couldn't I Live Without?

     What is one thing that you absolutely could not live without? It is hard to pick one thing right?!?!? Most people would say things like cell phones, computer, or maybe your favorite book! As for me, I could not live without my best friends! I couldn't live without my friends because they are there for me all of the time. On the days when I am sad or upset about something, my friends are always there to help me get through it! If I didn't have my friends to help me when things like that happen, I don't know what I would be like. I would probably be upset all of the time which would definately not be good! Another reason why I couldn't live without my friends would be because I like to just hang out and talk to them! If I didn't have them, I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone about anything. I absolutely could not live without my friends!

All About Me:)

My name is Katelyn(as you already know!) I am 14 years old! I absolutely love music! I enjoy any kind of music! I could not live without music! My favorite color is purple! I am always wearing purple because it is just that awesome! I love my cell phone! I think I would die without it! I am always on it, either texting or talking on it! My favorite subject in school is math because I am really good at it and I understand it. My least favorite subject would be history only because it does not interest me as much as other subjects do. A lot of people call me a nerd but I don't really mind because it isn't like it is a bad thing to be smart! Being smart is a good thing!:) Well, I don't know what else to say about myself so I am going to go! Bye!

All-County Honors Band:)

     For the past three years I have been playing the flute in band at school! I LOVE to play! Last year, when I was in 7th grade, I heard about this thing called the All- County Honors Band. I found out that it is this thing where you go and try out to see if you can be in the band of the best players in this county. i decided that I might as well try out and see if I was good enough to make it. I went to the try outs and it turned out that I made the band and I got to go play and have a concert. This year when I heard they were doing it again, I knew I wanted to try out and see if I could do better then last year. Try outs for this year was this past Saturday and it turns out that I made it again! I did great and I am going to play in another concert with this year's band next week! i can't wait because I get to see friends that made it as well and do the thing I love, which is play the flute!

Softball;)

     Lots of people like to play sports. I am one of those people. I like to play pretty much any sport but my favorite would have to be softball!I have been playing softball since I was about six years old! Once I started, there was no turning back! My dad was the one who got me interested in softball. He played baseball when he was young and he always wanted to have kids that would enjoy the sport as much as he does. My mom and him only had two girls so he decided to see if he could get us to play softball! It worked! When he first mentioned it, I really didn't want to try but once I first stepped on that softball field, I fell in love with the sport just as much as my dad had when he was young! Ever since then, I have played every year, sometimes more then one season a year! I like to play because I get to make friends through my teammates and I get to do what I love! Softball is my favorite sport! What is yours???

Music!

     I absolutely LOVE music!!!!! It is a big part of who I am! I like every part of music! I play two instruments: Flute and Piano! I love to just sit down and play! It doesn't matter what mood I am in, when I either listen to or play music my mood brightens! It just makes me really happy to listen to music. I really like to play my flute! It is my favorite instrument! I love to sit down and just have fun with it! I can play sad songs when I'm in a bad mood or really fast and happy songs when I am having a good day! Music is pretty much my life! I am constantly listening to music and when I can I like to play it! I LOVE music!!!!!!

Disney Movies!

     I absolutely LOVE Disney movies!!!!!! When I was little, I used to watch Cinderella all the time! My all-time favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast! I love that movie soo much! I love how the beast and the girl fall in love under the absolute worst circumstances and they live happily ever after! I am sooo excited because I think my mom is going to let me go to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D!! I can't wait! i have heard from the people who have seen that it is awesome and that I will leave with a huge grin on my face! I can't wait! I love Disney movies, especially Beauty and the Beast!!!

My New Year's Resolution For Reading!

     When the new year is close to coming, many people make New Year Resolutions. I am one of those people! I love to make New Year's Resolutions! Most people have New Year's Resolutions like losing weight, working out more, quitting bad habits, etc.
     I am the kind of person that makes New Year's Resolutions like that as well as some different ones. My New Year's Resolution for 2012 is to read more books! I would really like to read all of the Hunger Games books before this year is over. I would also like to finish the series Percy Jackson and The Olympians. So far I have read all but two and I want to finish those last two up pretty fast. before 2012 is over, I would really like to read at least twelve books, one per month.
